Towards employees

Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 has initiated health partnerships for the promotion of employees’ health in the company and discounts for all employees at some local businesses.  Since the 1930s, the company has been promoting welfare initiatives for employees such as the employee assistance and special student funds.

Smart working:
During the Covid 19 emergency, smart working was incentivised which, over and above facilitating employees’ work-life balance, also caused an enormous saving in CO2 because of reduced travel.

Towards consumers

Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 is committed to respect and protection of end consumers by complying with the Certificazione Tessile & Salute for its products.

Webinar for tailors of the world
Knowledge of fabrics is in our DNA. With a view to creating shared value, we have organised free training sessions on the topic of fabrics, aimed at tailors around the world.

Towards the community


  • Collaboration with Exodus;
  • Collaboration with Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, Italian Red Cross and Biella Hospital converting part of our facilities to produce face masks to donate for civilian use;
  • Local institutions;
  • Award of three scholarships aimed at deserving students of the La Scala Academy

Company visits

  • Piemonte Fabbriche Aperte (Piedmont Open Factories): opening the wool mill to the public at large to valorise the manufacture of elegance, technological innovation and intelligent production;
  • Fashion School trips: visits to company facilities in Italian, English, French, Chinese and Russian for junior high and high school students and university students with training focused on fabrics and the ingredient of branding (in only the last six months 500 students have visited our facilities, amongst which were Institut Francais de la Mode, Fashion Institute of Technology, Bunka University of Tokyo, etc.)
