LanificioCerruti_Winter

Since the 18th Century, at the foot of the Biellese Alps, Lanificio Cerruti stands proudly next the banks of river Cervo. This geographic location is a key element to our business. It is thanks to the soft water from the mountain river, which we use for washing, dyeing and finishings what makes the wool soft and smooth, giving our fabrics a unique texture recognised throughout the world. Since 1940, long before the development of Internet and new technologies, Lanificio Cerruti has taken on the challenge of globalization by giving the company an international edge, without losing sight of its original location or relocating its establishments elsewhere. Our success is also that of Nino Cerruti’s, an international fashion icon for more than 40 years, who contributed as a designer and director of the company since 1951. Today this fabric mill in Piedmont has become a multinational reality, exporting its products to more than 100 countries, producing its fabrics entirely in Biella. Today the production has moved from the original building dating back to the 1700’s, a historical heritage, to the modern plant in Biella, Italy.
