iTRAVEL. NO PROBLEM

The alarm clock is always a problem, the mad rush to get up, shower and get ready, leaves little time to choose the right suit for the right occasion. But then, there it is, in my wardrobe, almost screaming out “pick me”, I get dressed and leave. It’s late, and that’s when I start running, not to miss my trip, business travel is always hectic. The luggage is too heavy, the taxi is late, the plane will not wait. All set, I head towards the airport. Here I am, checked in and embarking. A long flight crammed between an elderly man with cough and a hyperactive baby forces me to wiggle to feel more comfortable. No problem. I finally land, another taxi ride. The hotel is pleasant, but I have no time to change, my meeting has just started. My colleagues watch me enter, breathless but impeccable, they look at me surprised, hours on a flight, inconveniences, zero breaks and yet I’m impeccable, my look seems to declare “no problem”.

La sveglia è sempre un problema, la fretta di alzarsi, lavarsi e prepararsi lascia ogni volta pochissimo tempo per scegliere l’abito giusto per la giusta occasione. Ma lui è lì nell’armadio, sembra quasi dica “scegli me”, seguo l’istinto, mi vesto e parto. È tardi, ed è così che mi ritrovo a correre, per non perdere la coincidenza, perché viaggiare per lavoro non da mai un attimo di tregua. La valigia troppo pesante, il taxi in ritardo, l’aereo che non aspetta. Pronti via, direzione aeroporto. Eccoci, check-in e si sale. Lunghe ore di volo stipato tra un anziano con la tosse e un bambino iperattivo mi costringono a contorcermi per star comodo. No problem. Finalmente atterro, altro taxi altra corsa. L’hotel è bello ma non ho tempo neanche di cambiarmi, la riunione è appena iniziata. I colleghi mi vedono arrivare, trafelato ma impeccabile, mi osservano stupiti, ore di volo, inconvenienti, zero pause eppure sono perfetto, il mio sguardo sembra dire “no problem”.
