Cerruti and PCYCL: ethical fashion
Sustainability and comfort at the centre of the new collection
Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 has collaborated with PCYCL, the menswear brand established in 2018, to create new collections realised using a deconstructive and ethical approach which is strongly influenced by the concept of environmental sustainability and the demands made of today’s world of fashion.
The brand follows an increasingly gender-fluid trend for designs which are created for true comfort, starting with elements that tap into different sectors – from fashion to architecture, from technology to music – to give life to a truly unique and distinctive lexicon.
One of the distinguishing factors about PCYCL – and which the wool mill fully shares – is its research for responsible and sustainable production materials and processes. This means using resources such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, wool and water repellent PFC-free fabrics – or zips made of recycled PET. Moreover, many garments are made from recycled or waste materials from larger companies, materials which in this way take on a new life as a result of handmade processes.
