Biological purification plant using active muds for the treatment of waste waters.

Systems for lowering fumes and dust with the goal of emissions which are completely purified and comply with the current legislation (Legislative Decree 152/06).

Frequency inverters on the ventilators with the aim of reducing and optimising electricity consumption:

• Heat recuperation plant;
• Replacement of the steam generator burners in the South heating centre;
• Replacement of the steam generators in the North heating centre with the adoption of two Mingazzi units.

Lanificio F.lli Cerruti 1881 has embarked on a path towards reduction of refuse #plasticless.

• Reduction of the use of plastic bottles in the company. Water dispensers connected to the mains drinking water supply have been introduced for all employees free of charge and also dedicated water bottles;
• Reduction of the use of plastic beakers in the company. Compostable beakers have been introduced for all the warm drinks vending machines, using materials which can be broken down organically;
• Elimination of the use of disposable cutlery in the company canteens. All employees have been given a cutlery kit which is washable and reusable.
