For the Spring Collection, Lanificio F.lli Cerruti has maintained and refined the basics of fine wool, historical traits of the company, very dynamic, thanks to the Lycra, as well as high-twist natural stretch fabrics: very smooth, yarn dyed with orthogonal designs in fresh and summery colours, suitable for timeless trousers and suits: practical, modern, versatile: from checks to thin and thick pinstripes, masculine designs are now being introduced more frequently in women’s ready to wear. Completing the collection are the silk/wool crêpe with sharp and crisp textures, the incredible lightness of semi-transparent voile and the thicker weights suitable for coats.

This season’s summer collections proposes a mix of linen, cotton, ramie, silk – pure and blended: slub yarns add to lighter structures a slight movement which enriches the base, while in the thicker versions a sportier edge, with an elegant design. Fabrics include more or less noticeable jacquard patterns, adding movement and stimulating the imagination of whoever will then create exclusive and intriguing garments.

Lanificio f.lli Cerruti continue to broaden its fascinating ‘story’ created by extra fine Nylon loops: this time light jacquard fabrics become elegant and refined. The structured suit that does not go unnoticed, keeps the lightness and the irregularity of extra-chic fabrics: from cocktail jackets to silk and cotton/linen blends. Fresh and attractive design, often playful, opens up to a world in which Cerruti firmly believes in: the combination of technical fibres with classical ones, creating more transversal fashionable sportswear, suitable for an assertive women capable of choosing elegant suits with a young and lively aspect.

Sleek, smooth and luminous wool, silk and mohair blends with their minimal sophistication, luxurious textures and semi-transparent qualities enrich this superlight wool feature.

SUMMER BLENDS

Fresh, crisp and sparkling qualities, with micro-patterns and monochrome structures, guarantee the new elegant sporty look: blends of linen, cotton, ramie and silk with the subtle surprising addition of Lurex.

SOPHISTICATED RUSTICS

Flammé and printed yarns create sophisticated textures and discreet irregularities in plain fabrics and a variety of checked patterns in cotton, linen, silk and Lurex blends.

COOL COTTONS

Featuring in this collection are micro-patterns and irregular jacquard designs, cotton crêpe and frisée yarns in a clean and fresh palette of summery whites, shades of blue and red.

TECHNICAL AND SPORTY

Refreshing qualities of cotton, linen and Lurex combined with nylon with bi-coloured, complex jacquard-designs and bold stripes, both horizontal and vertical.

For the formal wear and tailoring collections, a step forward has been initiated in pursuit of high quality, materials and style. High twisted yarns stand out, throughout the whole collection, thanks to their lightness and performance. Presented in a rich variety of grains and compositions, these fabrics are ideal for the suit selection, along with wool/linen compositions, mohair (also available in pure mohair), cotton/ramie composition, these fabrics accentuate the spirit of summer. Nylon is blended with wool, while hybrids and casuals meet the demands of high-performance fabrics. Authentic textures for the jacket collection achieved by an analytical search for the perfect blends including the comeback of the seersuker. Lastly, stretch fabrics can be seen more frequently in a contemporary man’s wardrobe.

The need to create

Informal attire grows in popularity thanks to an upgrade in quality, but also to the less rigid designs in tailoring, inevitably bringing it closer to casual wear. The colours are intense and three-dimensional, ranging from classic shades, black and white to hues of red, bright blues and for jackets, a mix of vibrant tones weaved together. The effect is three-dimensional, bright and vivid, but also includes lighter shades. The Leno and Jacquard fabrics highlight the extensive know-how of our company, a leader in the interpretation of these refined compositions for men and genderless garments. The function of the jacket and blazer becomes more creative in a world that ranges from tailored jackets to informal street wear jackets.

Eagerly awaited by many insiders,  “Salon of Excellence” will take place at the  spectacular Palazzo Capponi Vettori on January 10 during the ninety-first edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo.

Event partners are Lanificio Cerruti and the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers.

This year, DeGorsi luxury consulting as the organizer, proposes two dimensions in one event:  “Salon of Excellence”, enhanced by two initiatives, New Sartorial Thread & Masters of Craftsmanship,  created to promote the new talents of Bespoke tailoring  & craftsmanship, that emphasize the importance of heritage and traditional approach, and ,under the segment “Fashion Frames”, the “scouting” for new fashion talents of Made in Italy, enhanced by Beyond Fashion – an overview – round table and the Fashion Excellence Award 2017.

“Salon of Excellence”  introduces the NEW SARTORIAL THREAD

a global initiative, created in collaboration with Lanificio Cerruti, where new generation of tailoring talents (Gennaro Annunziata, Davide Siotti and Enzo Carfora) will realize unique pieces dedicated to the man who loves bespoke,  strictly handmade suits with contemporary edge, exclusively using the Lanificio Cerruti precious fabrics.

Masters of Craftsmanship

A segment of the evening dedicated to gentlemen, will be an exhibition focusing artisanal brands that preserve their hand-made only approach. Participating masters are: historic milanese shoemakers Rivolta , famous bespoke shirt-makers Siniscalchi of Milan along with Sartoria Chiaia, Sartoria Siotti and Sartoria Carfora.

Fashion Frames (for ladies)

A section of the event completely dedicated to new designers / brands that have in their DNA an important stylistic research, with a solid structural background that enables the distribution and commercial success.

Brands presented in this edition are concentrated in the product categories related to accessories, handbags, shoes or clothing items that create individualistic total look.

Special part of the evening, organized in partnership with Camera Italiana buyer moda, is Beyond Fashion – an overview,  a round table conference of top Fashion buyers, discussing the future of new fashion brands. They will present visions on the future of fashion, capacity ‘of the new brands and distribution strategies they should adopt to achieve success.
